Practice makes permanent. If you practice something incorrectly, over and over, it won’t ever be perfect.

Nobody’s perfect because it’s impossible to practice everything to perfection. Some people can throw a perfect basketball shot. Some surgeons can perform a perfect surgery. Chances are, the surgeon isn’t shooting a perfect hoop between surgeries. The basketball player probably isn’t performing surgery between free throws.

What the!!! Its a quote meaning if you practice well youll have a better chance on excelling in your chosen activity. You are right when you say nobody is perfect but put your self in a position like when your gonna have an exam on Math bout algebra. When you practice solving and solving youd enhance your mathematic skills and might even get a perfect score on your exam. Am I right? Holla

In the sentence “practice makes perfect”, perfect should be seen to attribute the motion of practice. Practice and you will become more perfect.

There are 2 more things to consider…

Practice in a single activity and you can become perfect at it depending on its definition of perfect.

and

The word perfect is subjective. You may be perfect to someone else but not to yourself.

Taking in these considerations it is easy to see why you should practice; to get better…

EXACTLY! Then no one needs to learn anything new. No teams need to practice to get better at their respective sports and the list goes on. We can just wander around aimlessly all day. Saying practice makes perfect, but nobodys perfect so why practice?

Great question! Perfection is rare, but it’s an ideal, or in sports terms, a goal. If we strive to just be okay, we’ll never make it in this very rough world. So, it’s better to strive for perfection, to at least reach excellence and know we’ve done our best. And in sports, there ARE moments of perfection; think of no-hitters. If that isn’t perfect pitching, I don’t know what is!

The phrase, “Practice makes perfect” has long been known to be incorrect.

It should read, “Perfect practice makes perfect”, as , in reality, practice simply makes permanent. One can learn to do something incorrectly or in such a manner that it not beneficial to that one or to others.

The goal is to strive to attain ones best. Of course, only God and God alone is perfect. However, if one begins to climb a mountain only looking at the middle of the mountain, one will never reach the apex. Aim high, work intelligently and with determined effort in all things while trusting in God and following His guidance.

Ma’ salaam.
