“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 (King James Version) If so, the life abundant is the type of life a person can have by committing his or her life to Jesus Christ. The Greek word “life” as used in the original text of this verse is “zoe” which means “the God kind of life”. It is eternal life (never ending) as well as a full quality of life. It doesn’t mean everything will be “rosy” but a person can have strength and joy on the inside, even in difficult circumstances, through the relationship the person has with God.
