rawrrr!

I need a quote from the Bible about ‘loving your neighbor’ so to speak?

I’m writing a persuasive essay for english about how people of society need to be respectful and accepting to others. I have to use allusions. So what better work to quote than the Bible, right? I has to be about how we have to love everyone despite the fact that we have never met them. I’m sure there are plenty but I do not own a Bible, nor ever read one.

The best example of this in the Bible is the parable of the Good Samaritan. Look for it in Luke, chapter 10, verse 25 on.

Basically, Jesus makes the point that ‘love your neighbor’ means to love EVERYONE, even people you despise. It’s amazing how many Christians today don’t seem to have read this story. 8^)

There’s a good writeup in Wikipedia.

try this one:

Mark 12:31

“And the second is like this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

or this one:

Luke 6:27

“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,”
