Help me word this quote please!?

Ok, I am trying to figure out how I should word this. I want it to be short and sweet. What I am trying to say is I only try to be greater then myself, I don’t try to live up to or perform at anyones expectations. I only try to beat myself or be greater then I was yesterday sorta thing.

I am tired so I know there are spelling errors. . please excuse them 😛
