Community college in one year instead of two?

I’m a senior in high school, and I might be going to a community college first rather than straight to a four-year university. Are you allowed to double up on credits and finish in one year instead of two?

And is it more difficult to transfer from a community college in one state to a four year university in a different state?

you’ll never survive doubling up classes – some have to wait for you to pass a previous course to begin with – you’re talking about taking 10 classes at a time – – you probably couldn’t get a schedule that would allow that based on – and if you could – you’d ave to read 200-300 pages a day – there wouldn’t be enough hrs a day to get all the work done – check with 4 yr schools you’re interested in to see what their policies are for transferring credits

And you can’t “just transfer” anytime like other person above says – you’d have to apply to the school and be accepted and if you applied and weren’t accepted right away in the first place, they won;t accept after just one semester

First off, you don’t need any sort of amount of credits to transfer, you can transfer after your first semester if you really want to. It is not about transferring from a community college to out of state being harder, its harder to get into out of state public universities from ANY college. If you need any more help feel free to contact me on AIM: volumebikes089 or yahoo messenger: burgler09 I’ll be more than glad to help you answer any more questions you might have.. it really is too bad high school counselors aren’t more help!

I suppose you could get it done in one year like an AA degree but that is a lot of work in one year. I am pretty sure it will transfer to any out-of-state school, but I would check first.
