Without need for one darn thing in this world… no need to keep warm, cook, move heavy items from one place to another… we wouldn’t even have fire or the wheel.

Without need for cures for disease we wouldn’t have any of the wonderful and many innovations in the field of medicine: blood transfusions invented in 1625 by Jean-Baptiste Denys, ether in 1846 by Crawford Williamson Long, the hypodermic syringe in 1855 by Alexander Wood, and x-rays in 1895 by Wilhelm Konrad Rontgen, to name a very few.

Without the desire to fly, we wouldn’t be able to at all, but thanks to a few more inventions we had such thing as these: the rigid dirigible airship in 1900 by Graf Ferdinand von Zeppelin, the airplane in 1903 by Wilbur and Oliver Wright, the improved helicopter in 1939 by Igor Sikorsky, and the guided missile in 1942 by Wernher von Braun. Thanks to them and more like them, we have reached to the stars.

Well, it’s not brief, but you can choose the info you want and use it as you will!

It means that when you really need something and there is no feasible way to do it- and it could mean something really bad will happen if u don’t- that’s when u will find a new way to accomplish it.

The best example I can think of is the wheel- cavemen needed a fast way to move entire tribes and quickly with all their stuff, plus be able to bring home large kills that could not be carried easily by hand- they new round things would roll, but they made the leap of putting poles of sorts underneath a pallet that held the goods and role them along (much like the movies u see of how the Egyptians moved the large stones used on the pyramids) and whua-la, a way to carry large objects with minimal effort.

Eventually men figured out how to make a wagon-type with real wheels and an axle. Another example because it was unrealistic to take extra people just to move the logs from back to front every time they had to rotate the logs, one person parties were not possible as it was. So the leap was made to axle and wheel with pallet attached.

I hope those are good examples for u.

If you gotta — you will!

I’m reminded of the motto of the World War II Seabees: “The difficult we do immediately. The impossible takes a little longer.”

Quotations are made by famous people with names recognised for their contributions to mankind and how could I explain to you because I don’t keep books on quotations.
