My library closes at 2am…so that option isn’t available..but…our science center’s doors close at 10pm and if you are already in then you can stay in if you are working in a classroom…I have stayed there overnight many times. Our classrooms have nice office chairs and big tables, so its not so bad, but It’s kinda creepy being in there because it’s really quiet, not many other people are there, and our building is apparently haunted. I just crank up the music and try to get stuff done and slowly watch every other sane person leave the building. I usually bring a pillow and when I get tired I take a nap on the floor or go to my professors office and unlock it and sleep in his rocking chair and then he wakes me up when he gets there…no joke…it’s becoming more of a custom now that I am doing independent research.

I’ve done it. It all depends on your school’s library setup. Do they have a couch? comfortable chairs you can stick together? It’s not bad if there is a nice setup and an area where there is very little traffic.
