I don’t think that they are the better choice for most people. People are realizing this and I think it will bring reform to the public schools.

If you are talking public elementary/secondary schools vs. private one…..then I would say that public ones are better because they allow kids to get more than one point of view and diversity. And private religious schools tend to spend a lot of time teaching religion (which should be taught in church and in the home – not school). Even scarier is the idea of them teaching creationism or intelligent design and that evolution is not true.
Having said all that – I can understand why some people would want to send their kids to a private school if they felt the public school was unsafe or was not conducive to good learning )such as some inner-city schools.
