Why don’t some schools recognise dyslexia and dyscalculia?

My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia when she was about 8. She got absolutely no help in her primary school but not she gets help in her secondary. She is now in her last year and she still struggles.

sometimes they dont see it until they are older my sister had to wait until she was in third grade to take the test to see if she even has it but you really have to work at home because some teachers don’t care and if you want your daughter to be on the level with her friends you really have to take time out and help her and read to her her and let her write down her letters and numbers to see if she is getting any better my best friend had dyslexia and now we are in high school and we are in honors english 🙂 just don’t let them put her in special ed because she’s not special ed at all she is able like everyone else
