Think of it like this, WHO is the same as he , WHOM is the same as HIM.

SO would you say “he refers to HIM as a nymphet” or “he refers to HE as a nyphet”.

“Who” is for subjects (paired with a verb, like in the first part of your sentence “…who is obsessed…”
