It really depends on what you are interested in, what career direction you plan to pursue, and if the college(s) you are thinking of attending offer the language program. For example, if you were thinking of a career in business, Japanese or Chinese would be good choices. Any career in social service fields, like teaching, social worker, or medicine, you really should think about Spanish. I can’t think where French would do you much good, perhaps in the fashion or travel industries.

There is no good answer to this question. it is one of personal preference.

My own preference would be to learn French since in our western society we are more exposed to French than Japanese and it is easier to continue the study of French.

I took French in high school, and I always regretted it. In America, you will have plenty of opportunities to speak with Mexicans. Say for instance that you move to California or Texas (which is a real possibility), you will always regret never taking Spanish in high school.

French, bec. after learning it properly, you can also easily start studying Spanish or Italian. Also, most people say that learning French is easier if you know English.

Wow!!! The fact that you can take Japanese is amazing! I would go with that, its like a once in a lifetime thing. My school just put in Chinese…but I’, a senior…so it kinda sucks they took so long.

Spanish..if you have not yet done so……..America is fast becoming a nation with a second language and it is not French or Japanese….but Spanish……
