Many people have bad experiences with teachers. I did, my husband did and my children did. Unfortunately there are bullies in school and some of them are teachers. a truly good teacher is a wonderful rare find that can open up a child’s love of learning; the other kind can destroy a child’s fragile self esteem and his future. I had combinations of them when I was in school and it made it tough when I had to deal with the bad ones who marked unfairly and belittled the kids in the class. I had one pompous little jerk teacher that humiliated me in front of the whole class so I quit in grade 11. It was a long road to finish school but I ended up graduating from college. Now I homeschool my youngest children. I don’t want to put any more children through that experience.

When I was in 7th grade, we were having a class test, since I was the captain, I had to collect the papers after the test was over. After I had collected the papers, I remembered that I had missed a question and went back to my place and wrote the one-word answer. My english teacher thought that after collecting the papers I had seen somebody’s answer and cheated. She scolded me very much. I kept telling her that I did not cheat and can never think of cheating but she never listened a word. She even said that I was not fit to be a captain. I cried for4 hours continuously. After this she scolded me for many small things throughout the year. I’m happy to have passed 7th grade.

I had a teacher like that who misgraded my tests and refused to change them. So i went and talked to the principal. then some of my friends said he was talking about me behind my back. I got stuck in another one of his classes this year. I decided i’m gonna stay in his class and make this year a living hell for him.
