well…..I’ve been a freshman TWICE!!!! first is my first year of highschool in the philippines…….and second…when i migrated to canada (I wasn’t really in grade 9 but i still felt “fresh”)

it’s been hard for me because the courses are much more demanding…..and I have to do most work independently…..

plus!!!! the nerve-racking making-friends-phase…..

and the painful transition from elementary to teenage life!!!!!

exciting…..make the most out of it……

this will sound so cliche’ but BE YOURSELF!!!! don’t act cool……it’s ok to feel stupid for once in your life…hehehhee!!!

Well…

When I was a freshmen I expected TV highschool stuff. I kind of imagined Mean Girls. Except it wasn’t like that at all. Most of depends on what type of highschool you go too.

I got to a very large highschool. It is actually one of the largest in the state.

Freshmen year is the easiest. You really have to do well though you can’t slack off. Some upperclassmen will probably tease and push you around and stuff. It happened to me… Hahaha. They get over it though. [Don’t tell them they were freshmen too… They don’t care.] In my school there is what they call Senior Hall. Which is the biggest hallway and all the Senior lockers are down there. If you have one… take a detour. It is so jam packed and they will push you down. Eeek.

All in all.

Be yourself and find your friends.

High School is nothing to worry about. Meeting friends is real Essy if that is what your worrying about. It is real easy to meet friends because other freshman form other schools will be going to your high school so they will be looking for friends also which should make it a lot easier to make friends. Just be yourself really, popularity is practically non existent in high school, high school consist of different groups and cliques instead of popularity so just try to fit in with whichever clique you want or just form your own. To get through high school grade wise you just have to put in the effort and you should pass. If you give a little effort plus more you should be a good student.

Have you been hazed yet? If not then you probably won’t have alot of friends at first, and the classes are going to be harder, the teachers will be stricter and people are not going to be as nice as they used to be. Get ready for Highschool Drama to the max.

im going into high school in 2 weeks too im kinda nervous but not scared i just know that its going to be alot bigger than middle school

its kinda hard to predict how its going to be, since it’s different for everyone. for me i was going into a private highschool, so i didnt know anyone! but it actually ended up being fun because freshmen usually have their own orientation. at my school they had a carnival and bbq for us (kinda weird) it should be fine the first days are the best because you’re not blamed for anything because you’re new

lots more people, lot of schoolwork, and get ready to feel small because in 8th grade you feel the biggest but there will be seniors who will be much bigger than you.
