Take it from a senior..

* purse- having make-up, brush, tampon, pads, cell phone on silent, mints/gum, hand sanitizer.

* have two booksacks, both different colors, filled with pens(black), pencils, caculator, ect. and your books and binders for the classes for that day

* keep a jacket on hand no matter what the weather’s like outside, it gets cold in classrooms

* keep your schedual and a map of the school in your pocket, for the first couple of weeks

* also keep highlighters and index cards for studing, and craming

good luck and have fun in high school, it’s truly fun!

Doesn’t your school give you a list of stuff to bring? They should. Also, some stores, like Staples, have lists from local schools. Some of it never gets used, but you can always bring it home and use it eventually (like Post-its).

The lists here are good, but I’d add a cell-phone, if they’re allowed, even if you leave it in your locker, so your parents can call in an emergency, or you need to stay late and your bro is out sick. Get a cheap, pre-paid phone, in case it gets stolen.

When I taught in my last year, we had block scheduling & kids were allowed breaks for snacks and stretching, so bring something like granola bars, apples and a drink, if they let you.

Also, remember to have any medications you use, given to the school nurse, or get permission to carry them, especially asthma inhalers or pain meds, like ibuprofen or aspirin, for headaches (which tend to happen SO often during school!).

Another good idea is to start making a list NOW of “emergency” contacts (relatives, neighbors), who can pick you up if you’re sick and your parents or brother aren’t around. Then give the list to the school office.

Make sure your brother’s license allows him to have someone under 18 as a passenger. And it should go without saying that he must drive carefully (he’s got precious cargo!)…

Oh, we have block schedule too. I usually bring a large tote bag (the cute ones) and I have 2 binders for each day to hold all the different class papers together. You should just get a really sturdy roomy bag, pens, pencils, LOTS of loose leaf paper, highlighters, 2 red pens. Those are the kind of things you will need basically everyday. You should wait and see what your teachers are going to ask you to bring, they have specific required materials.

yay highschool is so much fun..i would keep definately a cell phone on silent because you will need it more than you know, a brush , mirror, make up and lip gloss, a change of clothes in your locker is a great tip, and some sanitary girly items also keep one or two in your purse because you NEVER know…id wait for school supplies because each teacher is different, and id definately buy a cute wardrobe because at highschool unfortunately clothes mean sitting with the cute boys or with the chess club( nothing wrong with the chess club cuz those guys end up like donald trump )

do no longer complication, newcomers continually wander off for all time. ok i’m a senior and it is what you should do and that i’m no longer tricking you. Get a binder or a folder, whichever one suits you and paper and pencils. many times the instructor provides you with a syllabus and that they are going to circulate over what’s predicted in the class and what no longer. in addition they are going to inform you and supply you a catalogue of what’s mandatory in that type. Take the lists and address what you are able to desire to purchase and placed across.

Hey, I have block schedule, too. Anyway, bring money, a calculator, binder, line paper, pen, pencil, and a eraser. The basics.

bring your notebooks and pens of course. also, bring your makeup for any touch-ups during the day. also, always have a pad or tampon on hand just in case. i always carry them around and even if you’re sure you won’t need them, a friend might. if you want, keep an extra change of clothes in your locker just in case you spill something on yourself. also, always have a brush on hand. good luck!
