What does it prove?
I see a lot of people on here so worried about their high school gpa’s and even some junior schoolers.
Are these grades really that important?
Do they prove success in life if you are an A student?
Why do colleges force students to be like so?

Unfortunately or fortunately grades are important to most colleges and employers. They use grades as a screening device.
Doing well in certain high school classes has been linked to doing well in college. I am not sure about the link to a successful life. Successful life would be hard to quantify.
College is a reflection of society. What society wants learning institutions mimic.
