High school can be both rewarding and challenging. I think the old adage “you get out what you put into it” truly applies to this question. If you go with a positive attitude, and don’t sweat the small petty things…you’ll have a terrific time. If you get involved with negative people…then they will have a negative impact of you and your high school years. Take subjects you enjoy and you will ex cell! If you get into AP Classes, you will really be on your way to great success. AP classes have kids that are interested in succeeding in HS and heading onto college….so the kids are terrific. I wish you well & I’m sure you’ll do terrific.

My high school years were the best of my life!!! All throughout school I was teased and picked on for being heavyset. Then in high school I was so comfortable in my skin I just let my humor flow out of me. I was very witty, very friendly, my social life sky rocketed. I was friends with everyone form the jocks to the rednecks ( I went to school in Tennessee) to the hippies and goth kids and even the academics. Graduation night was horrible because I knew from that day forth everything was going to be a lot harder.

High school was, mostly, a waste of time that I dealt with by drinking until I got to college and switched from being near the bottom of my class to the deans list.

Edit: After reading a few comments – yes, it is better than Middle School (Jr. High, whatever you call it in your area). Then again, Middle School exists to prepare mortals for hell.

When I was that age I thought it was a waste of time. I bypassed it and went to college. My oldest went for two years and then couldn’t stand it anymore. He’s about to start his sophmore year at college.

My daughter loves it. She’s into sports, music, and popularity. She could just jump into college, she makes As without studying. She thinks high school is one big party.

I go to an all girls school so my opinion might not help much but its good…i miss the guys though

but if your just going in heres my advice all girls school or not: High School is what you make it. If you go in thinking its gunna be horrible then thats exactly what its going to be. Go in with a positive atittude and it’ll be fine.

High school was better than elementary & jr. high–more freedom. Still did not like it until senior year, when I met an art teacher that influenced all of my subjects, and my life.

I hated high school! I was made fun of constantly for being ugly and smart. But once I got to college, I was rewarded for my brains in spite of my awkwardness

hated high school…thought everyone was sooooo petty about everything. The teachers in my high school literally told “C” students and lower they didn’t have time to give them extra help and extra help is reserved for “B” or better students…..I hated high school.

place where we grow up, times when we learn about life.. not necessarily about study only.. i hate my chemistry teacher.. but i found my best of friends there.. i really had a great time in my high school.. i miss them.. huhu..

It was ok, but i wish i could have gotten a better education I guess teachers and my parents didn’t know how to handle my mental disability’s.
