UGH my Fith Grade Teacher!!! :(?

Ok, I was going in one morning to class and my teacher Mrs. Cerar always had to check our planners before class. So, I go in and put my stuff away, and get my planner out, but when I am just about to go up she is sitting in her chair and screams accross the room “YOUR HOMEWORK ISNT DONE!!!!” And I was like (when I got up to her chair) “what are you talking about?” and she showed me the piece of homework and with a discusted look on her face. I had done the back part, but I never knew we had a front part to do, because we had a certain page to do each night, so she said it was back AND front and I felt something drop in my stomache, and we then had this book that they mark for no homework/behavior and if we get five marks we cant go to the movie party at the end of the month, so She gave me an M for no math (she said my homework was not done) WHICH i did do the back, and shes like I going to give you a B for bavior too because you never told me. Do you think the teacher was over being

OK, that’s just mean, and completely uncalled for. If you didn’t do your homework, there is NO reason for her to announce it to the rest of the class. Talk about making someone feel really uncomfortable. You should tell your parents how embarrassed you were by the teacher’s loud comments (and admit your mistake to them), and ask them to discuss with your teacher a more appropriate way to handle homework and classwork comments with you.

If that happened to one of my children, I would definitely be discussing this with the teacher! Embarrassing a child is not the way to get the desired response.

Sorry you were embarrassed! Maybe when your parents talk to the teacher they can kindly remind her about discretion and privacy.

**I’m not teacher bashing. My sister is a teacher, and I have studied early childhood.

NOTE: DO NOT do what some of the others are saying. Being obnoxious and making rude comments will NOT be in your favor. Telling your teacher to “chill” and “don’t have a heart attack” is highly inappropriate. Do things the right way, and be above those nasty retaliations. You don’t have to take verbal abuse from your teacher, and you certainly should not give it out.

Yeah..even though you might be kinda..unsure when doing this you need to go up to her like alone when all the kids are going somewhere and be like Mrs. —— I’m really sorry for not finishing my homework..i really didn’t realize there was a back is there anything i can do to get my M and B taken away?

its worth a try anyways. She probably just thinks your the average ten year old liar!

Maybe she was already in a bad mood, but she shouldn’t have taken it out on you. Tell your parents if you want. Stand up for yourself! After that, let it go!!! You don’t want to spend your whole life dwelling on unimportant things.
