today was my 1st day of high school.. everyone picked on meeeeeeee?
haha seriousley. so prek- 8th grade i went to a private cristian school. it was 99% white kids. it was a very “sleltered” school- no violance, no cops had to be there, no bullying. very sheltered.and today i went to high school for my first day. its the 2nd largest school in the state. i chose it cuz i wanted somthin new. its a public school. my mom wanted me to go to a private high school, but i wanted to go there. I was picked on alll day. prolly cuz im 5’1 very short. what can i do????? i have no classes with any of my few friends there… is high schhool optional?? its not like i care about college, im gonna join the military

(= Some people are just weird. They will pick on anybody if they’re allowed the opportunity. Stick up for yourself and be friendly with others. =)

Big difference between private and public. You were living a sheltered and pampered life at the private school. now you have joined the masses. Everyone else is kinda use to this, but it is new for you. Do not worry the thing is they pick on you one day, then it will be someone else’s day in a few days. They are probably really not trying to humiliate you, that is just their way of welcoming you, they tease you.
Once you have given it a few days, developed some new friendships, you will feel much better. Try joining one or two after school programs, clubs, or activities you will develop closer friendships faster.

Wow, I had that some problem when I switched from a 99% white private school to a large west side public school. I switched in 6th grade though. I hated it for awhile, but it was only because it was SO different from what I was used to. Once you are accustomed to public school, you will probably like it. I do. [And don’t expect to have a mass of friends on the first day! Give yourself time!]

Hi! 😀 Well, its a new experiance. Private school is alot diffrent from public. People always pick on you, but don’t worry because once you make new friends and blend in, it’l be okay. I am starting high school too but my school is grades 6-12 and is a public school. when i started in 6th grade, the seniors would always make fun of us 6th graders. But once they know your not leaving or they know that you don’t care about the teasing, they’ll leave you alone. It will be a good experiance for you and so you will be ready for the outside world.Good luck! the first week is the hardest after that, you will make new friends!

you can drop out after your 16 but before 16 it is not optional.
Also you have to have High School diploma to join military.

You have to have a HS Diploma or GED and if your are just starting high scholl you arent even old enough to enlist yet you HAVE to be 17 and have parents consent.

If you really can’t stand it, then just listen to your mom and go the private school. Otherwise, just ignore them.

Sucks for you. Just ignore them! They’re just trying to bug you, and test you. To see if your worth their time. After awhile they’ll leave you alone. It could be your really short. No one picks on me…maybe its because I’m 5’9 and could kick their a*ss. Idk..
