Sign name for teacher or not?
I just got my teacher a (belated) card for her b-day, which I found out was on the tenth. I really like this teacher and respect her more than anyone, but I’m also really shy.
Now that I have the card, I’m debating about putting my name on it. I know I can put the card on her desk w/ no one knowing it was me, because I’m an editor for her Journalism class and can easily go around school w/ no one noticing. But I’m nervous of what she would think if I added my name.
The card’s one of those sappy “You’re special”, “I’m thinking of you” kinda ones, because that’s all the store had. That’s definatly not the kind of thing you’d hear me say though. Wouldn’t that give the teacher the wrong impression to know a student’s “thinking about them”? Right now, I’m leaning more to the no name…

Add a note on it that says something about your respect for her as a teacher. That way the card can look more like you being thankful for the time she gives toward your learning and not so sappy. Then sign your name. If you don’t sign your name it is possible she will ask everyone who left it. Or feel paranoid someone in class has feelings for her.
