Should I take this class? Please help?

I’m starting junior year in a week, and I got my homeroom today. It’s English Honors and I know the teacher, she’s really nice and cool, and the work seems fine, I have no problem with that. The thing is all my friends have different homerooms, and I had honors classes in 7th-9th grade, not 10th because of a stupid guidance counseolr. Anyway, I know almost all of the people in Honors classes and I don’t get along with them, like, at all. They used to tease me a lot, and even though I’ve changed and am popular now I’m still worried that they’ll tease me. Please help?

I know it’s hard to believe right now and I know how much it hurts to be teased, but there is life after high school.

When you begin your college applications next year, admissions committees are not going to care what clique you are in, but they will care about the difficulty level of classes you took and the grades that you got in those classes. It is probably better for you to stay in the honors classes. Just focus on doing your work and doing well on tests. After you graduate, you are unlikely to see many of your classmates again.

They used to tease you and you got through that, so it’d be illogical if you can’t get through this time. I don’t make any friends in school and still do well, you see.

For me if I have people I don’t like or if they don’t like me I don’t bother with them, I don’t talk to them or say a word.
