Mandarin could be a good choice. Being one of the emerging economic powerhouses, China has attracts more and more businesses from all over the world. Knowing their language could be a nice tool for your future.

Mandarin. It’s more rare than the other two and it’ll look good to colleges. Almost everyone takes Spanish, german is one of the “top 3” english speaking high schoolers take. Besides, in the workplace after college, chinese is a very good language to know, they are one of the largest economic countries. In America, spanish may be more common, but most large companies work with china, not mexico or spain.

well in the united states a majority of the population speaks either english or spainish or both. my high school is 40% hispanic and speak spanish fluently and my school only offers spanish. If you think ahead for the future you have to have atleast 2 years of a forgien lanuage to get into most colleges some require 3 years. so the real question should be would you be able to use Mandarin or German enough outside of school to be able to memorize it? Where as the spanish population is growing in the US so you know you could easily talk to someone in spanish to help you perpare for class and your college courses. So all signs if you ask me say that Spanish is your best bet and will pay off most in the future.

Definately not Spanish. It is easy to pick up in everyday life. Unless you are looking for an easy class to collect your foreign lang. credits, then choose Spanish. Otherwise, It is not a good investment for your education. Make your decision based on your plans for after school. If you are planing European contacts in business, choose German. If Asian, then Mandarin. Now is a good time for you to choose a language wisely.

I would say Spanish since its one of the most spoken language out of the three listed. Next I would take German then finally Mandarin only because they don’t use our traditional alphabet.

Well, look at it this way.

Spanish is the most useful, followed by German, then Mandarin.

Statistically, Spanish is the hardest language to master, followed by Mandarin, then German.

okay well it sounds like you can pick whichever 3 and if you have absolutely no opinion on it well..consider this

1. what you want to do in the future…in the business world it’s good to know different languages…. and just knowing another language and sticking with it all through high school is a plus for college….(it also depends on where you want to go in the future as well)

2. whichever you have more of an interest in…

good luck on your choice! whichever one you pick will take a lot of study and work so really it’s just the matter of picking one…

Depending on if you go to college I would say anything but Spanish. No dissing on the latino people but I took Spanish in Highschool. Fun course, but when the higher people look at your transcrips for college, just about everyone knows some bit of Spanish.
