Should I take AP or IB history and English?
I’m strong in the liberal arts, and I enjoy it. For history and English, should I go for AP or IB. This upcoming school year in the 10th grade, I’m going to take a pre-AP/IB cource, before selecting a route.

Maybe it’s different at every school, but when I was in high school, you either took all IB classes or none. AP you could selectively choose. Pre-IB was the same, all or none. I think IB is the better option. I was definitely better prepared for college because of it. When everyone else in my college classes were complaining about how hard the class/test/paper was, I was thinking it’s not so bad. If you can successfully manage IB in high school, college will be just fine. Good luck!

students claim that IB is much harder than AP. IB is also universally recognized, while AP is mainly for the US. I’d personally take the AP, but if I were to apply to schools outside of the the US, then i would go with IB.

IB is a bit harder, but means more. I would suggest IB!
