Should i do AP Human Geography or will I be too swamped?
I was thinking about taking AP Human Geography this coming year, but the only thing is that i have to take an extra hour in the morning so instead of 6 periods, i have 7. I alseo have PE and Honors English. I’m a sophomore. Will I be too swamped to well in my classes? What do you think?
P.S. the Extra period in the morning starts at 6:45

Any AP class you can take and confidently get the college credits for is a win for you. Not having to take the classes in college (and not having to pay for them) means you can get to the stuff you’re interested in quicker. I took enough AP courses I was already a sophomore by the time I got to college!

I am entering Sophomore year, and I had a similar problem with AP US Civilization 1. I am already taking Honors English, Honors Algebra II, Honors Geometry, and Honors Biology, and my schedule was problematic and classes were overlapping and stuff. I talked with my current history teacher and my guidance counselor; they said that it would be difficult and my GPA may drop, but it would be worth it in the long run. I have taken it, and I think it would be a good idea for you to take it, but you also might want to think about where you will be after high school and how much you might need AP Human Geography. I suggest you take it, despite the hard work it will involve.

I took three APs sophmore year and did just fine. AP human geo is not considered an overwhelming or stressful course. however, with taking any AP classes. you should be expecting to put in extra work.
i think it’s up to you to decide whether you can handle it or not. talk to some people from your school that have taken the course and get some feedback from them.
if ur really interested in the subject, i say go ahead and take it.
if ur only wanting to take it for the AP credit. i would really think about it. because if u end up hating it, ur not going to be motivated to do well.

Well think about what you want to take Junior and Senior year and if you have time to do it one of them years it might be better. I don’t know what kind of person you are or how you adjust to pressure so it’s really a can you handle extra work and being up earlier situation.

Geography is easy. So go for it. and top of that you should not care about how many classes you are taking if you want to graduate High School.

What do you think is more important?…sleep or the extra credits. I think you should the zero period class out. If it gets to be too much for you, you could always opt out until next year or the semester after P.E.

Do not stress! You should just relax and just review key terms and if you have a review book or the crash course, read that. I am also a freshman taking that course and I am very nervous too. But we should not be! Good luck!

If you have had good grades in the prerequisites for your classes then you should be fine, just take good notes and study a little every night.
