c] index card box – put 50 or so in a plastic zip lock bag

Are you taking 20 subjects? Don’t bring all that.

The first day, BRING:

1] the big notebook

2] planner

3] pencils in plastic pouch

4] calculator

4] zip lock of index cards

5] lunch or money [ I suggested my kids ‘hide’ a $5.00 bill in case of no money, or no lunch ]

Chances are, you will need a different notebook or folder for each class anyway.

If you have two classes low on paperwork, you could combine them in one notebook; otherwise get a different color for each class.

If they are decent quality, you can use then again for several years. You can also divy up the 15 subject dividers among several notebooks.

you will need a calculator, though. the rest you should bring too, including a pen and a highlighter 🙂
