This is the question that my high school debate team is dabating next week. Currently i stand undecided and I was wondering if anyone could help to sway my opinion.

. The bottom line is that the government can’t afford to isolate AIDS students in separate schools, probably not even separate classrooms with their own teachers.

Besides, if they’re that contagious, how could you force a teacher to be with them?

The ‘avert’ site below says there are 2.3 million children world-wide with HIV, 80% of them in Africa. That might mean the US has maybe 60,000 [out of a total of 53 Million] school-age infected kids scatterred thru the country. Until they start infecting a lot of other kids, nothing can be done because it wouldn’t be “PC”.

No AIDS is not contageous unless its through sex or blood. As long as the kids aren’t sneezing blood into each others mouths, separating them would be segregation.
