Awww don’t worry about it. I’m just a little bit confused here. Did you go to middle school or does your high school start at 6th grade? Either way, it’s not that bad. If you’re worried about getting lost because the school is so big, don’t sweat it. Most schools have an orientation to show new students around and the lower classes are usually grouped together. Like at my high school most of the freshmen classes were in the west part of the school while the upper classmen were in the east and center. And if that’s not the case you can always ask a teacher, they’re always glad to help point you in the right direction.
But seriously, don’t stress over it, my freshmen year was absolutely the best. It was way more fun than the other years. If you’re worried about getting picked on by upper classmen, that’s nothing to worry about. They leave the little kids alone, they know what it was like. Don’t make your judgements from t.v. or books because high school really isn’t like what they show on t.v. Kids aren’t randomly mean to other kids, no one takes other people’s lunch money and stuff like that. Dont’r worry about it and good luck!

i have a similar problem as i am going to a new high school where no one I know is going. I keep telling myself just be the same person you were years before but its hard not to get caught up in the cliques and the chicks. Especially the chicks. I mean whoaaaaaaaaaaa. But i think im going to focus on school work and being myself before looking for some girls. Its going to be tough but if i can do it so can you.

I’m about to be starting high school (at a new school) too, but I look at the exciting aspect of it. Meeting new people just offers that many more opportunities to have fun and cool relationships, your new teachers might be better than you expect, the lunches will probably be better, and people respect you more for being a young adult! It’s not so bad, is it?

High school is great!! Just remember to be yourself and talk with the other students. You are not the only one feeling nervous. The other students will probably be just as nervous as you. Get involved and be true to yourself!!

Just like anything else in life. You prepare yourself by having what you need, then you face your fear. Everyone else has to do it, why not you? And believe me, the other kids are feeling a little scared too. After your first day you will find out it wasn’t as bad as you thought.

Join clubs, and don’t worry, it is easier than you think. Just talk to people in your classes and homeroom.
