Requirements for becoming a preschool or kindergarten teacher?

Okay, I would like to know the requirements of becoming a kindergarten or a preschool teacher. I am a para-professional at a school for behavior and mentally disabled elementary students (similar to a teacher aid). I am considering looking for a new job at either a preschool teacher or a kindergarten teacher. I have an associates of art general education. and a bachelors in University Studies (thats like a general education degree also) I also have a temporary certificate for teaching and I have 5 classes that focus on Early Childhood Education. I have also work and volunteered with early childhood students for more than 9 years. What other requirements should I have to qualify as a early childhood teacher or a kindergarten teacher in different states in america?

You need to take a test called the Praxis and you need to see the requirements in the state you choose to teach. Some will have you take classes in an accredited college or university and also take a C-BASE exam for methods of teaching. Also, you need to acquire classroom hours and observations and do some student teaching. There is a master’s degree program where you can get a master’s degree and certification at the same time.
