it depends some lockers need locks others dont. My school lets you go in a week before school and find your classes and open your lockers and stuff. no you dont need a huge back pack. many kids just use those bags from like abercrombie and stuff. its not hard to keep track of all your classes what i did was i brought my schedule with me or taped it inside my assignment book. just get folders for each of your classes and notebooks. its not that much different just a lot more kids and the teachers could be a little more strict depending who you have. you dont play too many games and stuff like you did in elem. or have like recess. in middle school and high school everyone has their own style so whatever you like go for it just like there are many diff groups and friends like if your into fashion and love clothes then wear those things and im sure you will find friends just like you. i have new friends from other schools and i still have old friends from elem. ask your friends what they are goin to wear. good luck

Hey there! Middle School and Elementary School are both very different. I’m currently in 8th grade and love it!! Here are some tips:).

Lockers: If you can’t get your locker open, DONT WORRY! Relax. You can always ask one of your teachers or friends to help you. On my first day of middle school, I wasn’t able to get my locker open and was late to class. The teacher completely understood my situation and was very nice about it 🙂

Switching classes: It’s really weird at first to get use to. In elementary you only have one teacher while in middle school you have around 7 or 8. In the middle of the year, you will eventually sort of memorize your schedule. It’s really easy to switch classes once you get the hang of it and its pretty fun because you have wayy more freedom compared to elementary.

Backpack: Any size would do 🙂

You should expect lots of different and new people as well as the classes being a little harder. As for your locker, bring your lock just in case. My school district does not give out lockers to junior high students. Junior high is a breeze, however, the classes are a tad bit harder. Nothing to worry about though, trust me. The first couple days of school, it is difficult to keep track of all your classes. Keep your schedule with you and know where your classes are ahead of time.

One last thing, you shouldn’t worry about what to wear. Be yourself. The best people in school are not those who fit in, but stand out. =]

dont worry..youllmost likely find friends…and always have your scedule ..you prollay dont need a big backpack..on the first day teachers always give forms for parents and introduce you to the class….and supplies..just bring a folder of paper…before you know it ..youll be done!
