never give into any one you take your own path you show the world who you really are not the follower that people think your going to be

When both of my kids began their teen years I had two goals – that they keep eating and that we keep talking. We have a great relationship, and we are not overweight. I know I am not the only one they talk with, but I am on the preferred list. They call me to tell me things, like my son was on stage tonight with Iggy Pop, and he just called to let me to know. That he was on stage and that he called were both great.

Talk, listen, and eat with your parents. Some day you won’t be able to do any of these things with them.
