Is it possible to bring my grades up?

ok so, i just got my progress report and i have 2 f’s. this has never happend , the reason i have an f in math is cuz i was absent and we took a test worth 100 points. so wen i took it she said it was too late to go on the progress report, and chemistry idk wat hapnd there. i hate those 2 classes the most neway, and i have like a d in english or sumthn like tht. i always hav all a’s and b’s so idk wats goin on. my question is is it possible for me to be able to bring the D up to an a or a b maybe, and at least bring the f’s up to c’s. also, do progress reports really count for nething other thn to let parents know grades?

Progress reports are just for the parents to know how their child is doing. At my school they are sent home every five weeks (half of a marking period). But… YES you can bring your grades up! How many weeks are left before you get your report card? If you have a few weeks, those grades can come way up! Work hard, pay attention in class, and study your notes at least 30 minutes a day (thats not a lot, its one tv show!) and your f’s can be at least c’s. !! Good Luck!

Progress reports are basically just telling you where you stand so that you can fix it or continue with what you are doing. You can absolutely change your grade, it is not too late!

I would suggest you go to your teachers and tell them that you are not happy with the grades you have so far. Ask them what suggestions they have for you to raise it. Many teachers appreciate you coming to them. It also shows them that you do care. Because sometimes teachers see someone getting a bad grade and they just think the student doesn’t care. If they know you are trying they are likely to help you more. Just approach them with a positive attitude and tell them you are willing to work but you need their help to tell you what you need to do that you aren’t currently doing.

You can do it! Good luck!

Sit down and go over your schedule and class assignment.s Do you have a set way of organizing due dates and structuring your study time? If not, create one. Use a white board to write out homework “to do lists” and approx time allotted for each assignment with due dates. Also get a planner and get organized. Make sure you have a clear location to do homework & study (reminder: Study means practice, to study math, do math problems, to study writing, write)

Once you are organized and ready, go sit down with each of your teachers and discuss your grade in the class. Ask them what you need to work on. TAKE NOTES ON THIS. Ask if there are any assignments you have missed that you can make up or any extra credit assignments offered. DO THEM. Sit down with your parents next and tell them your plan of attack. Let them know when you are going to be studying so A) Tehy won’t bother you, B) If you distract yourself, they can remind you to get on track.
