A PS3 cant play psp games first of all not u asking the question i think u know that. The ps2 cant play ps3 games because the ps2 is older than any games out on the ps3.What i mean is the ps2 has a dvd drive but the ps3 has a blu ray drive.And by the way why would they make a ps3 if ps2 can play its games.

nope……. its because playstation 2 has dvd-rom and playstation 3 has blu-ray dvd-rom (the king of dvd till now)………
about the above answer, i dont think you can use umd from psp in ps3 to play psp games
