OMG! I need Immediate HELP!?

Okay, so I’m organizing a scavenger hunt for a ton of ten year olds. I’m stuck with one stop where they’ll spin a wheel. It will land on English, Math, Science, Social Studies, etc. There are 5 choices for each topic. I’m on spelling right now. What are 5 words that are difficult to spell, but there’s a chance these TEN year olds could get?

So, why shouldn’t they? Why are you trying to make it where they can’t get it? i mean aren’t they supposed to be having fun? If they can’t get the answers right it doesn’t seem like fun to me!!

I would use words that they should know. Look in a 4th, 5th and 6th grade spelling book. Many spelling books have like 5 challenge words in each lesson.

Have fun!! Scavernger Hunts are the best.

I think you should have a theme to the spellings as well. you could have animals and have unicorn, dugong, reindeer, duck billed platypus, and albatross. They aren’t that hard but quite a few will get a couple wrong. Or you could have a Harry Potter theme. Don’t make it too hard, it is better to have 3 easy ones and 2 harder ones.

The word DAG wanted to give is:

supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Although it’s not technically a word.

My suggestions are:

effeminate

supercilious

sextet

magnanimous

convalescence

I dug these out of my spelling book from the time I was ten. Not sure if they’re relevant for this, though.
