ok so i need your opinion?

i just graduated grade 8 and am in high school when summer vacation is over (about 2-3 more weeks). i got in a fight with like the most popular guy in our class and now he like hates me and im not very fond of him because the fight involved alot of name calling and put-downs (mostly coming from him, i tried to get him to shut up). when we start high school i know he’ll be pretty popular, and i guess ill just be average.

but will i be hated by everyone if he starts talking s-hit about me and everyone will listen to him because he’s more “popular” then me? i dont want my high school years to be h-ell.

Just tell your friends about what happened, and make sure that you are honest but defend yourself well to your friends. Then if anyone starts talking about you, they can refute the rumors. Also, it might be helpful to meet as many people as you can, and be nice to them, during the first week so that people will at least have a good first impression of you before the guy starts up any rumors.

Also, if you are gojng to a large school, you won’t get to know all your classmates, and they won’t all get to know (or even know about) you.

I think that best way is you should go up to him and apologize. You should also forgive him for what he did. All you have to do is be polite and respectful to him and everybody else. Trust me. You will earn their respect back. You’ll feel a whole lot better and will forget what happened between you and this “popular” guy. Then just move on with your life! Make good friends in high school if you don’t want high school years to be h-ell.

I come from a pretty tough high school and had to stand up for myself, cause I was the smart girl. You have to be willing to stand up for yourself. Confidence truly is the key to everything. You need to keep your head held high, and not let the opinions of others effect you. If that doesn’t work, you can one of two things.

1) You can get just as low. You can call him names and put him down. Guys are just as insecure as females. Accuse him of being gay, or ask everyone why are they on his wood. Ask them why are they hanging on his every word, and tell them to go get some lives of their own.

2) If he bothers you, or anyone else, hit him. I know that can backfire. I know from experience that people will bother you until they see you’re willing to stand uo for yourself one good time.

I know these things can backfire, so only do what you’re willing to accept the consequences for. I’m just giving you my opinion, coming from a highschool in the hood where kids made it their business to give other people hell.

You can also pray, that always helps.

Good luck with whatever you do!

I’m not going to say it won’ happen, cause if he really wants to get back at you he’ll try with all means, but you don’t have to stress, cause you are a girl. The best way is to make sure you get allot of girls to be friends with, go sit next to the girl you think have the most friends and that’s more popular, then you play the game right back at him, before he knows it, he’ll be out numbered. DON’T ever wait for him to get back at you, make your move, be friendly to the girls and just make friends… Good luck.

dont worry about it. i got into a dispute with a popular boy too-on the day we met. I was cranky that day so i was at my most unpleasant. He asked me to guess what his name was i didnt feel like it. he bugged me about it for 1/2 an hr then told me his name. he just kept talking to me and i had work to get done so i flicked him off. he told his friends but that was the extent of it. that was in sixth grade. in seventh grade he seemed to have 4gotten it ever happened. so inbd. let some people think w/e they want but it wont be a huge deal.

yeah it wont be a big deal…there are SOOO many people in a high school that if you really want to it’s pretty easy to avoid people. but in the end you want to come out on top, so be mature and if he confronts you than ignore him and he’ll end up looking like an idiot.

PS: high school is pretty much “h-ell” anyways lol 😉

I would explain the situation to as many of your good friends as you can before school starts. That way if he starts rumors, they will know all about it already and he might lose interest.

They won’t say that much crap about you. You guys will all grow up since your all in high school now and not even care about this silly situation.

in 2-3 weeks he probably will have forgotten about it. you have enough of your own friends that wont hate you and they should be enough right? and if you know what he said about you wasn’t true then it shouldnt matter.

=) good luck
