I think it depends on the person himself.

Do I want to go back or not? Why should I go back? What benefits do I garner from going back? What makes me want to turn back after leaving school for so long? Will I back out again?

These are several questions you can ask yourself. You have to make the decision yourself, resolve your inner problems or you’ll just end up doing the same thing again.

Personal opinion is listed here. Hope it helps.

I left school at 17 with not many good grades. I hated school and didn’t do the work. Aged 40 I suffered a serious car crash which meant I couldn’t work for over 3 years. I decided that rather than do nothing I would go to college and study drama. I spent a year doing a foundation course in Dramatic Arts and then went on to Uni where I studied for 4 years and left after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Acting. Although it was hard work I enjoyed most of my time in education second time around. You have to want education – just going along is not enough. Good luck whatever you decide.

That’s “back” (not bakk) and I wouldn’t just drop my education because I’d had to be away from school for a while. It’s much too important to ignore. It’s more difficult now than ever to get by in the world without a good education…competition is fierce.

Absolutely! In fact, I did go back to school after 11 years of being out in the working world, traveling, and such. The nice thing about going back to school when you’re older, is that you are much more serious about it. When I dropped out of school I was getting C’s and D’s. When I went back, I only got A’s and a few B’s. Being away from school, I learned that education is the KEY to success, so knew I would be best off by going back.

Yes.

I graduated high school in 2000.

I enrolled in our community college this summer and I am going for my Associate’s Degree.

It is never too late.

I did. I found that I enjoyed and took school more seriously. Now, I would take a class here and there just for my personal interests.
