Not sure what to do?

Hi, I don’t know what to do. I am in a very big jam right now. I have 3 honors classes and I am thinking of taking a 4th. Only thing is my 4th class is Geometry and my thing is I have to take my time with math.

I am good at it, I like it, I just like to take my time. Now, I would drop one of the other honors classes to get Geometry Honors. Its just I am so afraid I will be over loaded between, Spanish 2 and English and Biology that I will lose my mind.

I have to take my time with math because I like to make it as accurate as possible. Scheduale changes are Thursday and I dont know if I want a change. I at least want to leave my current class because the teacher has no idea what he is doing and I am in there with a bunch of seniors.

My brothers are both math wizzes and I am not bad my slef. My one brother told me go for it and the other one said to stay where I am. Any opinions would be great thanks!

I say stay. You never know how hard you might find the class, and if you like to take your time, then really don’t take honors, because they are generally rigorous, and for some reason, to teachers, rigorous means really fast. I am great at almost every subject, except math, and when I was in the gifted program, my math class, honors and rigorous went to fast for me. I think that if the class had gone slower, I could have been better. And we had time left over at the end of the year, which was just a waste. But I say stay, because you never know.

And what the person above says is not exactly true. colleges like you to challenge yourself, but if you are getting C’s in the honors class, it would seem like you overextended yourself because you wanted to say that you took so many honors classes, and not, I really learned from this class, because took a class I knew I could understand

No matter what you do, take a math class. If it’s a non-honors geometry it’s still fine. However, when those AP classes start getting offered, go for them!

you should be fine. I also like to take my time on math. honors classes do go at kinda a fast pace, but I did fine in them.

these are the classes I’m taking this year: advanced biology, us history, advanced english, computer programming, spanish 3, and pre-calculus. I’m not too worried about those classes.

if i were you, i would take as many honors classes as i can.

because colleges look at that and they say.. “wow this girl really challenged herself!” and they look at that in a positive way. even if you didn’t get an A, they’ll still look at you as a pro
