He has a very good level on maths & sciences. But he reads very bad; he must spell words 1st!
Any idea on what’s the problem & how to solve it?

For most children to be good readers, they need to practice. Usually this starts with bedtime stories being read to them, then as they get older they read to you. If your child is not very good in reading, then get him to practice, practice, practice. Every evening before bedtime, get him to read you a story out loud for 10 minutes or so. Start with fairly simple books maybe a bit below his reading level so that he will feel confident. Then slowly make the books harder and harder. Don’t forget to praise him and tell him what a good job he’s done – or what a great story that was. Don’t make him self conscious about his lack of reading skills. Make it fun for him to work on it and he will be motivated by his natural progress.
