Is it usual to be nervous to start your first year in high school?
Favorite Answer
I am going into high school this year, bt for me, the high school and the middle school, is the same building so i’m not going to a different school, i will just be in a seperate wing then the middle school. so i kno all the teachers and all my best friends are in the higher grades, lke my bf is in 11th grade so i know most of the high schoolers. and also the fact that my sister is a senior and she is one of the popular girls, everyone knows me and our population isnt that big, maybe 200 kids each grade, 7-12 but i guess it depends on ur school system. if you are going to a new building and dependin on how many kids are in ur school, then yeah, bein nervous is normal. it’s all part of change. it nervous because u are so use to one thing, having to make a new change and leave that once life custom of middle school behind, its nervracking. just make sure you stay with your close friends, but say hi to the new kids you see and dn’t be scared to try 2 make new friends and approach someone and say hey. it’s all part of change, but everyone gets use to it. Good luck on the first day of school!
as cheesy as it sounds always be yourself and don’t be afraid to speak your mind even if it gives you trouble at times because people that matter won’t mind that you do what comes from your heart and and people that mind shouldn’t matter to you.
and this will probably be your biggest challenge in a social circle and making friends because it’ll be hard to avoid certain situations but remember that it’s just high school and you’re at an age that you oughta make mistakes, try to learn from them and remember to have fun :).
you’ll be fine, i promise
