Is it true that in highschool, your Junior year is the hardest?
Favorite Answer
Because when you apply to college, the schools look at your junior year because the senior grades arent in yet. So there’s a lot of pressure, and the teachers tend to remind you of that fact constantly. Also this is the year when your more likely to be taking your harder, more advanced classes. Even AP (if applicable). Furthermore… you take your PSAT’s then. Although, you can wipe those out in senior year with the regular SATs. (or keep them, if you did better previously)
But other than that… you’ll get through it. Remember, you dont need to get in your first choice college right out of high school. If you dont get in, just spend a year at a local (cheaper!) college.. do well there… then you can go anywhere you want. Colleges forget about HS grades once you can net a cool 4.0 in college. Worked for me!
hope that helps 🙂
In Junior year, you don’t have to worry about college applications yet, and don’t neccessarily have to even get started on scholarships or SAT/ACT testing. Even though your grade transcript at the end of your Junior year is the one colleges will look at, by Junior year there’s really not all that much you can do to change it. If you have a 2.2 GPA ending as a Sophomore, there’s no way in heck you could get it up to a 4.0.
Overall, Junior year’s pretty fun. Just make the best of it once you get there.
