They say this because that is when you should start applying for college/aid and take your SAT/ACTs. Start studying now, and take the PSAT as many times as you can to get you used to the testing, it also tells you what you need to work on. It is never to early to start.

In a way yes….

Because when you apply to college, the schools look at your junior year because the senior grades arent in yet. So there’s a lot of pressure, and the teachers tend to remind you of that fact constantly. Also this is the year when your more likely to be taking your harder, more advanced classes. Even AP (if applicable). Furthermore… you take your PSAT’s then. Although, you can wipe those out in senior year with the regular SATs. (or keep them, if you did better previously)

But other than that… you’ll get through it. Remember, you dont need to get in your first choice college right out of high school. If you dont get in, just spend a year at a local (cheaper!) college.. do well there… then you can go anywhere you want. Colleges forget about HS grades once you can net a cool 4.0 in college. Worked for me!

hope that helps 🙂

certainly, the faster the extra effective. The extra time you spend in the departmentthe fewer time you ought to serve on your obligated service. maximum persons sign a 4 year contract, yet optimistically your recruiters inform you which you’re quite signing an 8 year contract, 4 years energetic accountability and four years inactive reserve. you are able to shave off as much as a minimum of 365 days of your inactive reserve time with the aid of being in the departmentfor 365 days earlier you pass to subject-loose coaching. once you’re thinking approximately making the army a occupation, the neatest factor you’re able to do, and that i promise you will in no way remorseful approximately it, is starting to be an officer. you ought to evaluate that fosho because of the fact officers make buku money and get dealt with far extra effective. Officer is a thank you to decide for notably much all and sundry, the exception may well be those stressful chargers that prefer to stay the tough existence and notice quite wrestle (extra) than their officer opposite numbers. (I say extra because of the fact in spite of the sterotype, infantry officers are in the **** notably much as plenty because of the fact the enlisted dudes) Plus you get to appreciate college existence for 4 years earlier you sell your soul, it quite is something each enlisted individual cries approximately that they desire they had carried out.

From my experience, no, it’s not. It’s Senior year you have to worry about.

In Junior year, you don’t have to worry about college applications yet, and don’t neccessarily have to even get started on scholarships or SAT/ACT testing. Even though your grade transcript at the end of your Junior year is the one colleges will look at, by Junior year there’s really not all that much you can do to change it. If you have a 2.2 GPA ending as a Sophomore, there’s no way in heck you could get it up to a 4.0.

Overall, Junior year’s pretty fun. Just make the best of it once you get there.

I guess it depends where you live. I live in Canada, and it definitely wasn’t my hardest year.
