Is anyone else nervous about getting back to school?

I am sooooooo nervous! It just scares me to think about the first day: picking up your schedule, hoping you have friends in your class, finding where your classes are, hoping there are no enemies in your class, and where to sit at lunch! Is anyone else nervous & scared?

Well I guess its how you look at it. Those situations you listed could be nerve-racking to one person but very much anticipating and exciting to another. I advise you just try to look at it as an exciting day to start new, buy a cute outfit and get your nails done before hand, little things like that will help you become confident through out the day.

There most likely will be some people in your classes that you’d rather not share the same air and that has always been the case for me but there are other people in your class that you could be friends with. Your focus would be more towards your school work and the people you enjoy to be with. trust.

If you don’t feel confident, Act or pretend you are because people can tell someone is insecure from a mile away. And thats a turn-off for both girls and boys.

I’m not in highschool anymore, but I remember the feelings you are describing very well. Just remember, you’ve gone through it before, and you can handle it again. If you do end up in some classes with people you don’t get along with, just avoid them. And if your friends end up in your class, keep in mind that you are there to learn as well as associate. If you don’t have any friends in your classes, you can always meet up between classes, during breaks, at lunch, and after school, not to mention weekends.

You’ll be fine. And even though you won’t believe this (I didn’t when people said it to me), once your out of school, you’ll miss it. I thought I hated school, until I graduated. Now, I wish I could go back to my first day of highschool and do it all over again. I wouldn’t change many things, but I never realized how much fun I really had back in those days.

Goodluck.

I’m very nervous and I’m not looking forward at all.School is a nightmare for me, and not because of doing hemework and attending classes (though it gets really tedious after a while), but because of the pressure I constantly feel.I have a few teachers with unproffesional attitudes and I feel very nervous and anxious during their classes. I don’t get along with my classmates, some of them are assholes and can be very mean.I am one of the weirdos who doesn’t have who to talk with during breaks and seeing how others talk about highschool as the best time of your life drives me insane-I’m not having fun at all.I know very few people from other classes and all I’m doing during the school year is attending the classes, 7 hours a day and going home to do my homework.I feel like I’m wasting my teenage years because everything goes just wrong and things never change.

Yes! I’m going into eighth grade! I am so nervous. I’m taking AP Math and Science, so I don’t know what to expect this year. Don’t worry too much, because I know that after a few days, or a week or two, you will be completely settled in, and you will be used to it. Also, it’s likely you will be in your friends classes!

I am looking forward to it.

I never went to college right after high school.

About 7 years after I graduated I started taking part time classes.

After 4 years I couldn’t afford to go so I quit.

Now I’m enrolled again. I’m going to be a nurse when I graduate.

I’m a teacher, and a few weeks before school, I usually have a nightmare about what could go wrong. So, yes, we all get nervous!

But at the same time I’m really excited too.

I’m gonna be a freshman this year.So I hope everything goes well and it’ll be a good year.

Good luck to you too!
