Realize, though, that it only seems that way because it is your first step into the wild (and often hated) world of stress.
My advice?
1. Survive middle school
2. Take the opportunities given to you and make something out of it
3. Figure out what you do best and what you like most
4. Polish those skills and flaunt those shiny, shiny trophies in high school
Just remember, you’re not the only one new to middle school. I’m sure there are lots of other kids (most, probably) who are just as nervous as you are. Good luck!
Wow… they teach foreign language in middle school ?? I didnt get foreign language till my freshman year in high school…. so i guess that means your ahead of the game. That’s a great thing !
I’m not sure if you will have a free period. Not all middle schools have that. All i had was lunch… =/
But yeah.. don’t worry. Middle school’s really not as bad as it sounds. It’s actually pretty fun. =)
if you have to finish reading that book, break it apart everyday. say you have 2 weeks that you want to read your book, and another week for the report, break it apart. if you have 200 pages left, read about 14 pages a night for two weeks. then, do your report.
in my school, our free period is lunch. we used to have a class called flex, but when i got to middle school they took it away because kids were skipping it.
you sound like you want to learn your japanese, so you should have a lot of fun, and an easy time with your class about japan.
just relax, and enjoy these two years while they’re here, because at the end you’re not going to want to leave.
good luck!
sincerely,
Jessica
