I’m talking from a non biased position- even though i am a math teacher. you need to see the college entrance requirements- for the field you are suggesting you probably need precalculus. if you didn’t take math in jnr and senr year as a college person looking at your transcript i would think it funny that u didn’t utilize you capability to learn more. there is a lot of math in you field. my suggestion is to take some more classes- maybe your school offers discrete math or AP stats which are good interesting alternatives than calculus for 12th grade.

Not necessarily, but check the requirements for the college you are planning to attend. Some have specific math credits they look for, others require only your state’s minimum. Product design does involve understanding geometry and measurements. Also, some product design involves basic physics–say you are designing a container, you would need to know the weight and mass it could hold.

Truly, your best bet would be to talk with an adviser at the college you’re interested in. Good luck!
