I’ve had a lot of trouble in math this past year, andn I’m going into 8th grade, but am in an AP class so we’ll be finishing up Algebra and starting geometry this year, it’s a freshman class. If at anypoint in the class my grae drops to a C- I cant play basketball.

I’m planning on going to talk to my teacher the first week of class or so and expressing my fear of low grades and of not understanding Algebra/geometry in general.

I’m afraid I dont have a great foundation to start the second half of algebra, and am scared that it’s out of control.

Advice???

should I ask if I can retake the class I took last year to obtain a better understanding and foundation for it???

Not only does this grade determine whether I can play basketball (which means a LOT to me) but it also determines whether I get into the highschool I want to go to!!
