OMG..I felt that way also! I thought some other kids were gonna be picking on me,but know i am in the 2nd wk of school no one picks on me. I am in my classes, changing, going to lunch, hanging out with some friends..and just being myself. So, you should just be your self and by the week is over you’ll love it! Just try not to be all ‘NERDY’ or a geek. then you will only make yourself look bad. but other than that no one will mess with you..un-less y0u start something first.also..i was 12 in the 7th grade! (I KNOW, 12!) and we had 7-12 graders all in the same school. I like it better since im older! HE-HE!

G00D LUCK!

No, but you might be shunned slightly on a social basis.

Guys like to go with the older girls.

The guy who’s a Junior with a Senior Girl Friend is often considered top notch especailly if shes cute.

The nice thing is you’re freshman with other middle school kids and so your clothing, styles, habits, tastes in things are closer to theirs and ALL of you will feel awkward equally.

The big thing is you will also be freshman with girls who already drive and have a car or will drive by the end of the year.

You are a bit stuck there.

Coupling might be a bit difficult. You probably didn’t couple in Middle School because of age to.

Some guys will be hesitant as will you familes becuase of the age spread.

All the guys are basically 16 and you’re 13.

It’s going to be awkward.

The first year might be a bit unsettling, but a lot depends on YOU and how YOU handle it.

If you’re mature and take charge they may not even think of you as a 13 or 14 year old.

You will be a mark for some seniors, just hold your own. Don’t play into their hands.

Seniors will pick on you if you are annoying or get in the way in halls or try act all superior like “oh i’m in high school now so I’m too cool for this and that”.

But really the worst you’ll get is “hey FRESHMAN!” or something silly like that because for some reason just calling you a freshman out loud is suppose to freak you out, lol. Don’t worry about it, just stick with your friends and you may even make friends with some upperclassmen if you have them in your electives. We aren’t all evil.

If you are scared, don’t let it show. Never let them see fear in your eyes. Try not to quiver, shiver or shake. If you can do anything, learn the half amused smile. Knowing your way around school early on is helpful, because a lost ‘freshie’ is sometimes a target, but then the first few days, everybody is a little confused. If you know where you’re going and how to get there, that’s just one less thing to worry you.

It’s frequently scary to start something new. You will face new situations all of your life–a new job, finding a mate, having a child, etc. all of these things can be intimidating, but that is the way that we grow.

Most people find the first few days in high school a little scary but then they realize that there really isn’t any reason to be afraid.

Will people tease you? There are always people who tease, but unless you behave really differently from the other freshmen, there would be no reason for others to tease you.

I went to a large high school and in my experience, all the grades kinda stuck together. Of course you’ll make friends with people in other grades as well, but I never found the grade 12’s to be picking on the grade 7’s or anything like that. I don’t think you’ll need to worry!

OMG im 13 and starting high school too!

Im pretty scared, but that’s the least of my worries. At the orientation, i met some of the seniors and they were actually very nice. hmm a little TOO nice, in fact. One of the seniors started freaking me out when she kept asking “Aern’t you excited??” hahaha well if the senoirs pick on you, go where theres alot of teachers around so they get busted. But i doubt you’ll get picked on to begin with (except if your school is very ghetto (lots of gangsters))

It really all depends on how big your school is. If you have a small school, then it really won’t be that big of a deal. I think as long as you don’t bother the seniors, they won’t bother you. Just keep out of their way. If you go to a big school, even, they probably won’t bother you either. There would be too much distraction around for them to start picking on a random (freshman, i’m guessing?). Don’t worry. You’ll be fine ๐Ÿ™‚

We were all scared. You will be over this by the second day. Don’t worry, No one will pick on you too much, there will be too many of you 13 y/o’s for them to just single you out. Just stay quiet until you’ve learned your way around and then join lots of clubs and organizations so that you can become popular.

Except for the senior greeting day in assembly they will have nothing much to do with you.

They already have their friends and won’t be looking for new ones; and it will be the same with the juniors.

You might as well keep the same ones you had in the eighth grade and maybe one or two Sophomores.

So, there is nothing to worry about or to be intimidated by when you go to H S.
