i think its best to be yourself. But being a totaly loner.. you need to have friends, friends get you through. Hang out with another loner maybe. Then youre neither a loner or a follower. But trust me, you need friends. They help you through life when youre down and troubled. Trust me on this one. =]

Personally, I was one of those people who could mesh well with both. This is a great asset to me because my best friends come from both sides of the fence. My advice? Be yourself. That will make you happier in the long run. If some days you want to be a loner, cool, if others you want to follow the crowd, that’s OK as well. I know the students at my high school got used to my mood swings and I had a greater opportunity to make friends with everybody while being happy with myself at the same time. Don’t force yourself to fit into a nice (uncomfortable) little mold just because that’s what the crowd wants. You will wear yourself out.

Neither is good. But, I have to agree and say that a loner is better. I wouldn’t want to pretend that I was someone else just to impress people, I would rather be myself. When I was in high school I usually went my own way, but I still had a lot of friends. I say just be yourself, it will make high school much better.

Bear in mind that being a follower does not oblige you to follow one mode of behavior. As I’m sure you’re aware, there are groups which focus on different interests, and I’m certain there is at least one that gathers/socializes because of a common interest in something that interests you, too. In locating and spending quality time with such a group, you would not necessarily be following, but rather involving yourself. While you would not be comfortable in any sort of group in which you were expected to follow, you might be very appreciative of a group that welcomes those who think for themselves regarding whatever topic or activity brought the people together.

There are worse things than being a loner, but then you are depriving yourself of contacts that might be very beneficial to you socially and personally, both now and in the future.

If those are your only choices, it’s probably better to be a follower than a loner. For one thing, being a loner just sucks. And you won’t be a follower for long, you’ll be an equal.

When I was in high school I was lucky enough to have girl friends (not “girlfriends” – girl friends) who taught me how to dress, and what the cliques were all about, and I took their advice. Pretty soon I was one of the popular kids myself, just being myself, with better clothes and a nicer haircut. Then, I got plenty of girlfriends and was into all the best cliques.

I ended up having a real good time in high school and I was sorry to see it end. But college was good too!

Learn to socialize. It will be a great asset in your adult life. However, don´t let your studies suffer. Remember, no man is an island. Your going to need friends and business contacts as an adult.

As long as you have a few good friends I wouldnt worry about anything. You should always be yourself, but if you dont have any friends then you should probably start to think about how you treat people.

It is best to be a leader particularly if you are interested in going to college.
