Parents can be engaged in what their kids are doing?! Maybe its not just the school system? It is quite annoying when you see plz in stead of please. People need to pay attention to the children in schools and if they are struggling they need to help them. Miss-education is a bad disease that is commandeering our young people. Do you understand how much the Eng/Amer language changes? During my schooling years I was taught a set of rules, but when I went to college at age 33 I found out that many of those rules had changed. How do people keep up with that? Sure, we could keep current but how many other things are there to keep current on, to many to count.

I do home school my kids but I don’t discount the ps system either. (Oh my! I should have typed out public school for your, no abbreviations in typed language.) Pay taxes, support your teachers, their pay check is not all that! Plus, they spend their own money on class room supplies.
