However, it’s a matter of choice for you. BOTH jobs pay exceptionally WELL! However, you could probably get a job using sign language quicker than you could with Spanish, as sign language is a tad easier to pick up than Spanish.
After a year of signs, you could be really really good. After a year of Spanish, you’ve got beginner year under your belt.
It’s really up to you and which interests you more, because both have tremendous benefits in the long run.
Either way you will be earning great money, and working with people assisting communication between them both.
THAT’S pretty cool. 🙂
Good luck!
P.S. Why not take a summer course first and see which appeals to you more?
Spanish is very good as well, especially with the growing number of spanish speaking people living in America. You can work as a translater for companies, you can tutor or teach non-english speakers.
You could consider learning both if you are motivated to do so.
Good luck,

It is considered a foreign language by the majority of Colleges.
You would be using the language to communicate to fellow Americans who happen to be Deaf.
it will also help you in your career because spanish speaking workers are more likely to get a job
if your job is going to be based on around deaf people then sigh lanquage
