i am 31, why is it harder?

why is it harder to go back to school. I am 31 so not exactly that old but the system makes it harder for mature students to enter school again… why is that?

Actually, higher educational institutions are making it easier than ever for an older person to return to school. I went back for my bachelors at 26 … and I was one of about two “adults” in many classes. I’m going back for a masters at 48 and the classes are majority “adults” now! Back at the undergrad level, they are about 1/3 returning students!

I did it at 31 and it was easy. Got my Masters in about 2 and a half years. As long as you have the requirements there shouldn’t be a problem. If you don’t have the requirements then it doesn’t matter what your age is, you’d still have a problem.

Not true. I was 32, when I went back for a masters. Now at 42, I know it was the best thing I could have done for myself. Now I am doing, what I have always wanted to do do.

What do you mean go back to school? Do you mean as a teacher or uni ?? If you mean uni, its probably because people are younger and a different generation. Your not that old at all!! Sorry i couldnt help much, good luck with other answers and going back to school.
