you can try reading to them everytime, like a self made story totally filled with metaphors, personfication, similes, onomatopoiea and other writing gadgets and techniques. this is to show them that english can be as interesting as chinese too. if you can speak in different accents, you could try doing some speech and drama class and you can try doing a solo play by changing your accent everytime the chracter changes. this makes learning interesting and humourous. even when doing a normal speech everyday, remember to use flowery words and if possible, try emphasizing any specific phrase or words as your own identification ( so that the students will remember you everytime they use the phrase). example, my previous english teacher often say ” empty buckets make the most noise, while still waters run deep” she often says this when we are noisy. the meaning of this proverb should be easy:quiet people will have deep knowledge while noisy ones will be as empty as the bucket.
