How can one raise their GPA and become a smarter student??

I am a sophomore (10th grade) In high school. I made straight d’s and f’s my freshman (9th grade) year…but that is because I didn’t try. Now I am actually trying and I make c’s and b’s. But that isn’t good enough for me. I want to make straight A’s and B’s. And no matter how hard I try..I can’t seem to reach that goal. I study before tests..I do all my homework..I get a good night’s sleep. I don’t know what to do…is there anything else I can do to pull my grades up? And become a smarter student over all?

Not to mention I am taking 3 math classes…Algebra 1, Geometry and Financial math…along with Biology and free enterprise.

Do all your homework, study the class notes if you need to remember.. and to help memorizing things, I make up ways to remember. For example, in grade 8/9 science, I needed to remember that the mitochondria provides the cell with energy. There is a guy mitch that is really energetic and hyper, he provides energy to the ‘room’. Think of things like that, that might help.

Good luck! 🙂

try getting a tutor or study buddy. also you must pay attention in class to what the teacher is saying and if you don’t understand, stay after class or after school and talk to the teacher to get some help. and don’t forget to do your homework. good luck =D

Study! I know that is such a cliche but it is true! Practice makes perfect so study, study, and study some more! :]
