how can I transfer high schools in the same district?
im going into grade 11 and I want to transfer schools. I have my parents consent. I will be on vaction on aug 17 I will come bace on sept . school starts on sept 4. when should I contact school to ask for a transfer and how do I transfer

It all depends on your district. Normally you must go to your zoned school.
Does your district have “magnet” schools or “academies”? It is usually easy to transfer to a magnet school if there is an opening, but you can’t wait until the last minute and those slots fill up fast.
If you do get special permission to go to a different school–and you usually have to have a valid reason to do so–the district does not have to provide you with transportation.
You need to petition the school board for a change of schools, so you need to go to the school district office to fill out the necessary paperwork–as soon as possible wouldn’t be too soon!

generally, u have to consult the educational committee in your township to see whether or not it is possible to transfer. then u have to convince them somehow. say that u dont expect transport to school. because usually they have to hire a bus to take u from home to school even if ur the only one in the neighborhood that goes to that school.
